Description
Though there are many popular accounts of the Canadian Army in Korea, Watson (history, Okanagan U. College) found the lack of a study revealing the realities and practical details of the infantry's wartime experience to be a gap in military history that may well have contributed to Canadian failures since then, especially in Somalia. After interviewing veterans and reading official documents, he finds that the experience was not so glorious as popular books and film portray.
